Here is my final design for the Global Journalist feature I have been working on that will be published next week. The changes I made initially include making the photos larger on the second spread, in order to take full advantage of the space given. To keep the spread more streamlined I was asked by GJ to take out my chaotic lines around the headline (sad times...but it makes sense to take out my design element for this particular magazine). Let me know what you think! If you scroll down my last post you can see the design that I originally submitted.
Christy, the redesign looks fantastic. It's clear that on the second spread you used the grid to your advantage. Everything looks much tighter, and it gives off a tension that i'm sure is reflected in the story. nice job!
ReplyDeleteHey, it's been awhile, so I'm playing catch-up a bit here, but you're posting some really cool stuff.
ReplyDeleteI really like your Global Journalist spreads. It's absolutely beautiful. You use that calm use of spot color and it really adds to the whole feel of your spreads. Good work lady!
